Review of Room 237 (2012) by Richard J M — 08 Sep 2013
While at times feeling like extended YouTube fan theories, Room 237 craftily brings together some sound and also outlandish ideas about Kubrick's masterpiece The Shining. The documentary is well put together, and links well to Kubrick's other films, but it all feels unfinished, with the majority of talking heads not having enough time to flesh out their ideas.
Room 237 is interesting, if not flawed in some ways, and helps further the genius and mystery behind The Shining.
