Review of Room 237 (2012) by Brandon H — 30 Sep 2013
A very strange, but oddly compelling, documentary about the various theories, or ideas, or whatever they are, concerning Stanley Kubrick's 'The Shining.' These vary from the holocaust to extermination of native Americans to faked Apollo moon landing and others.
I had never heard all of this although 'The Shining' is one of the few Kubrick films I really enjoy watching over. The documentarians do not comment on any of these various, and frankly odd-ball, theories but just present them.
This is kind a hard film to find as it is mostly on demand on the internet or television. I'm not sure that it is even in any theaters and that's too bad as it is interesting and does make you think.
