Review of Room 237 (2012) by Joel M — 04 Jan 2014
The documentary "Room 237" shines as a brilliant film about numerous artists' philosophies of the underlying meanings of Stanley Kubrick's horror masterpiece "The Shining". Even though they don't share the same philosophies of the actual filmmakers of "The Shining", one has to scratch their head as they disseminate such analysis as "The Shining" depicting the horrors of the holocaust to the atrocious treatment of the American Indians. We never see the faces of the analysts, which was a smart play from "Room 237" director Rodney Ascher. In fact Ascher was ""all work and no play" when it came to helming this astonishing documentary. So you will not need plenty of "red rum" to enjoy "Room 237", check in today!
