Review of Room (2015) by Jake M — 15 Mar 2016
Wow I didn't think I was going to love this movie as much as I did. Room is a fantastic film with a powerful message. Brie Larson totally shines in this movie in the role of Joy aka Ma she's stunning and I don't think they could have gotten a better actress to play the role, she totally deserved Best Actress in a Leading Role this year at the oscars which is amazing do to the fact that Larson was in films such as 21 Jump Street (2012) and Trainwreck (2015).
Though Brie Larsons performance was brilliant Jacob Tremblays performance as Jack was phenomenal and the fact that he's only 9 years old makes it even more impressing if you ask me. Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay both have bright futures ahead of them and I look forward too seeing more films starring them in the future.
Besides them the entire cast such as Joan Allen, Tom McCamus, William H Macy (though he has limited screen time) and etc does a great job with the roles they play in. This is by far the best film of 2016 and in my opinion Room should have won best picture this year at the oscars instead of Spotlight.
