Review of Room (2015) by Richard S — 08 Oct 2016
The subject matter is grim and upsetting but at no point do the film makers set out to shock or sensationalise anything, instead this is a film about the unbreakable bond between a mother and her son in the most heart breaking and unimaginable of settings. The film is told from the view point of the young boy whose whole world is one single room and his mother, a completely innocent mind oblivious to his situation and the world outside of the room. The story then follows as both mother and son struggle to adapt to life outside of the room.
The film is brilliant and well worth seeing for Jacob Tremblay's performance alone who must be one of the best child actors I have ever seen.
