Amazing.
I don't know if we credit the child or the director for the Best Actor caliber performance. Either way, it makes this movie.
I've not been this genuinely frightened for a character in ages.

I've not been this genuinely frightened for a character in ages.
The subject matter could have been a Lifetime Movie-level disaster but the performances generate an emotional resonance unlike anything I've seen this year.
