Review of Room (2015) by John H — 02 Jul 2016
I have never been so emotionally touched by any film in the last decade than my experience with ROOM. This film, based on the novel by Emma Donoghue, left me in an emotional wreck, with Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay's unforgettable duo performance. Lenny Abrahamson's direction brings to life every feeling, every tear, and every last bit of hope this mother and son feel in every minute of the film. Parents will love this film, as it is a reminder to always embrace their children and love them through every moment of life. Young adults will love this film, as it is a reminder that parents do anything and everything to protect them.
ROOM is undoubtedly the best film of the year and deserves every Oscar it is nominated for. It is a drama that you will never forget, and definitely makes my list of favorite films of the year. I look forward to a successful career for Larson and hope to see her appear in many great films. All I can say is "WOW!".
