Review of Ronin (1998) by Carter Y — 24 Jun 2009
A highly underrated espionage action-thriller about a mercenary group of ex-intelligence operatives in Europe out to snatch a mysterious, heavily guarded briefcase. John Frankenheimer's direction is brilliant, as is a superb ensemble cast led by Robert De Niro and Jean Reno.
The action sequences, including a pair of absolutely thrilling car chases, are top-notch.
