Review of Ronin (1998) by Lester F — 21 Oct 2012
An engaging yet formulaic and messy action thriller, but with a strong lead from De Niro as always, as the movie would feel bland without him. Masterful car chases and exciting action scenes quicken the pace so it never really drags.
The script is typical for the genre, and the serious tone can feel silly when chaos ensues, but the movie remains entertaining overall.
