Review of Ronin (1998) by Thomas K — 07 Oct 2014
Typical postmodern thriller/spy film. The staging and choreography of the car chases are amazing. The camera work is good, though not overly innovative. The score to the film is at times haunting and always complementary to the film.
It is the story though that is weak and just makes the film fall flat. There are plot holes the size of the Audi they are driving and there is absolutely no character development. And not once do you really, truly want to root for anyone.
The characters are that bland. So, entertaining but nothing your ever gonna remember.
