Review of Romulus, My Father (2007) by Tom V — 05 Jul 2007
A quite bleak and cold film really but a story that you felt was worth telling. Difficult to break a smile but at the same time difficult not to connect with the struggle. Acting was excellent and the storytelling quite masterful.
Makes you feel appreciated and loved, compared to the poor young boy. He keeps the story together for the majority of the film, which could have been too pesimistic and sorrowful for some.
