Review of Romulus, My Father (2007) by Jith P — 05 May 2008
Eric Bana stars as a wog in outback Victoria, taking care of his son Raimond. Fantastic story. You can always tell when a movie is based on the true story. Wonderful build up of characters. strong actors and photography.
Marvelous outback scenery. And this is where it ends. Movie was slow at times and bored me to death, I almos fell asleep. And then it would come alive and I would miss the important bits, so I had to rewind.
Still good story with some sense and a strong feeling of realirty. makes you think, F*** we are very lucky now. Don't wayrtch this unless you like art film and go to festivals. Romulus my father has no commertial viability and most people will not understand it.
Cause of this reason 3 stars.
