Review of Romeo Must Die (2000) by Ryan T — 30 Nov 2008
Decent kung-fu/hip-hop action film (that begat Exit Wounds, that begat Cradle 2 Tha Grave, etc.) with some decent acting to balance out the wooden acting.
The wire/digital assited fight moves are pure bull s___, but my biggest problem is the bass solo underscore when they recover DB Woodside's body. Delroy Lindo and Aaliyah are trying to have an better emotional scene than this movie deserves and Timbaland ruins it with music that sounds like it belongs in a PARODY of a porno film! Kills me every time.
