Review of Romeo Is Bleeding (1993) by Frankie A — 16 Mar 2008
Gary Oldman plays the proverbial Romeo, whose pathetic efforts at being a dirty and philandering cop end up destroying his marriage and his career. Lena Olin plays it over the top as the insane hit woman - she looks good in the Frederick's of Hollywood gear, with or without both of her arms.
The movie is uneven with some very good moments especially the final scene. I liked Annabella Sciorra as the wife, and wish that character was explored further. Hard to categorize. Watch Pulp Fiction first if you haven't seen it.
