Review of Romeo and Juliet (1968) by Aaron L — 26 Mar 2008
The best version of the play on film. Zeffirelli's film is gorgeous to look at, and stunning in its scope. A period piece set on location in Italy, it fits perfectly into the Italian familial clan wars of that time, and this story is beliveable in this setting.
Strong performances and a great leading couple.
