I saw this in a theatre in my young impressionable early teen years and was transfixed. The music, the costumes, the language....it was as though I had lived in that era in another life. It influenced me to strive to be in my college choirs chamber choir which sang renaissance music and Ii was part of a group of 12 that performed an Elizabethan Dinner with singing, dancing and a head table, etc.

With the hartford Atheneum as the backdrop surrounded by tapestries, armored knights and a great stone hall, it was one of my lifes most exciting times. Listen to David Munrow's music for a sample.

His "Mille Regretz" is one of the most perfect pieces of music ever performed. Tragically he committed suicide!
