Review of Romeo and Juliet (1968) by Tim H — 21 Jun 2009
Probably the first Shakespeare film to bring the bard to the masses. By that I mean that while there were other Shakespeare adaptations before this, this was the first that was truly successful. Hasn't aged well though and I doubt that the Claire Danes-Leonardo DiCaprio remake will age anywhere near as well as this.
