Review of Romeo and Juliet (1968) by Elise S — 14 Feb 2010
I've now seen this film adaption of Romeo and Juliet and the one from 1996. This one is way better: Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey are just better as the two star-crossed lovers than Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes.
They have wonderful chemistry and say all the lines like they are a piece of cake, while DiCaprio and Danes often get trapped in the tricky lines, which makes their acting less believable.
