Review of Romeo and Juliet (1968) by Connor _ — 16 Jun 2010
While the story is brought to the screen pretty much without flaws as far as the production, The acting was really bad!, I felt like I was watching a movie from the 1930's and 40's all of the actors overdo it and it really brings down the movie.
I will also say that I really do not like this story, I know it's romantic and yadda yadda yadda but I mean come on. The girl that plays Juliet, Samantha Hussey I think her name is really is close to dreadful.
I loved the incredible score from Nino Rota which in my opinion was the high point of the entire film, The music really adds to the look and feel of it and makes up for the mediocre acting, The director did well it was produced well it had great music, but the story is ehhhh and the acting is like they are in a play.
