Review of Romeo and Juliet (1968) by Errol T — 16 Dec 2010
Many guys have a hard time admitting that they like movies that have a girly, romantic atmosphere, but if you can't appreciate the magic in Franco Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet, then I'm sorry, but you just don't appreciate film! Now, of course, that's just my personal standpoint on this film, it's just downright magical! The two leads were VERY charismatic (and beautiful to look at, might I add) and played the parts well.
The film had a very light and airy-fairy look to it, a classic Zeffirelli trait. The hauntic use of the film's score must also be appreciated, and the death scene was note perfect! Shakespeare would not only approve, but I guarantee he would hail ths film!
