Review of Romancing the Stone (1984) by Gus S — 20 Jun 2008
The Robert Zemeckis touch is apparent throughout this adventure yarn which pits a pathetic romance writer against the worst of Columbia's drug cartel. Plenty of adventure to keep the viewer interested and some nice comedic touches, but the story doesn't develop as much as one would hope.
Still enjoyable to watch, but not the director's best.
