Review of Romancing the Stone (1984) by Thomas D — 18 Jul 2008
I haven't seen this one for ages and ages, but it certainly holds up quite well to today's standards. A bit of an Indiana Jones rip-off with swinging vines and rickitty old bridges. But it adds a more comic element with the help of Danny Devito.
Very cheesy and 80's with a funky saxophone soundtrack, Douglas really hasn't been this good since. It is a bit annoying though when people are being shot at such close range with machine guns that no one ever gets hit or dies.
