This is one of two proposed prequels to the black divorce comedy drama War of the Roses, charting how Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito first met. The tone is a lot different than WotR, opting for a swashbuckling rip-roaring adventure feel, rather than the bleak darkness of the original.
A second prequel, the more slap sticky The Jewel of the Nile is forthcoming, and promises to bridge the gap between Stone and Roses. We shall see.
