Review of Romancing the Stone (1984) by Kevin H — 12 Apr 2009
A highly entertaining action-adventure with a heavy dose of romantic comedy, Romancing The Stone is a great popcorn flick and the type of movie that reminds us why we enjoy films in the first place. Douglas and Turner have an undeniable screen chemistry which really helps to propel this film forward.
Some great performances from the supporters including Danny DeVito, Zack Norman and Alfonso Arau and tight direction from Zemeckis make this one a bonafide winner. It holds up well to this day too, I just watched it recently and was still entertained.
