Review of Romancing the Stone (1984) by Jonny C — 19 Sep 2009
Great adventure movie. I think it's unfair to compare this to Raider's of the Lost Ark, as Romancing the Stone brings a lot more to the table than just searching for treasure. The cast were all on top form, with great chemistry between a smoking hot Kathleen Turner and a gun-ho Michael Douglas, There's also an entertaining performance from Danny DeVito as the hapless villain.
There's plenty of action too, with a memorable mud slide and a great car chase. Romancing the Stone is well worth your rental money.
