Review of Romancing the Stone (1984) by Alex P — 25 Jan 2010
I was so pleasantly surprised by this film! It's really well done and has aged so well. It was great to see Douglas in an adventure role during his younger years. Turner was charming as the shy writer seeking love, and who finally found it. Zemeckis did a great job directing. I was especially fond of his choice in shooting most of the film with a very wide lens. It added such a grande scope to the visuals of the film. One word for the cinematography: Beautiful. Danny Devito was hilarious as well.
A great romantic comedy I'd recommend to everyone.
