Review of Romancing the Stone (1984) by Glenn L — 15 Sep 2011
Romancing The Stone will always be one of my favorite movies. I love the story, and it's not just any average Raiders knock-off. Douglas and Turner both give enjoyable and memorable performances, but it's Danny DeVito as Ralph that really steals the show.
Pretty much this whole movie is well executed, and it's very original, with no cliches. the dialog was well written and there were many a quotable lines like one of my favorites: "Now move it, before Batman comes home", or "Hey Ira, the kid's here with the broad.
They're taking her out to the boat". The screenplay is excellent and so is the editing. See Romancing the Stone if you haven't.
