Review of Romancing the Stone (1984) by Timm S — 18 Jun 2013
Douglas and Turner are great together in this cliche ridden but very entertaining adventure. Zemeckis keeps the accelerator on full throttle in this cheesy 80's action adventure that is a great choice for a Bank Holiday.
A little dated by today's standards but after the success of Indiana Jones this takes that winning formula and does a great job at entertaining. There are bad guys, good guys, a damsel in distress, guns, drug dealers, comedy, snakes, rope bridges, waterfalls.
.. It has the lot.
