Review of Romancing the Stone (1984) by Brandon W — 19 Mar 2015
Romancing the Stone is a great film that actually kind of stands out on its own. The acting is terrific from Kathleen Turner, Michael Douglas, and Danny DeVito. The plot may seem like your average adventure movie, but with Robert Zemeckis's direction and Diane Thomas's script, it's smarter than it and tries to put out some twists in it.
The chemistry between the town main leads are really good and hilarious. The car chase scene and the gun scenes are exciting and funny, and the soundtrack is good. The plot is intereting, but there are some scenes that were not that interesting.
It's not perfect, but Robert Zemeckis's Romancing the Stone is a great adventure film that is a good time for viewers or fans of the director.
