Informative, interesting, and riveting - for archaeology nerds like me. I find it very interesting how culture has changed over the last 2000+ years, especially with regard to violence, sexuality, and civil (dis)obedience.
The film uses archaeological excavations, imperial biographies, Roman poetry and literature, and documented social response to acceptable and unacceptable Roman vice. Very well done.
