Review of Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired (2008) by Rod A — 21 Jul 2008
Everyone in this this film seems to have been injured in some way by Polanski's encounter with a young girl. In the legal world, winning a case is the ultimate goal. Here, there are only degrees of losing.
As a portrait of Polanski, the film displays his complexity and tragedy. The trauma faced by the young girl (now a mother of three) is portrayed with sensitivity.
