Review of Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired (2008) by Stephen C — 13 Oct 2008
It is a known fact that Roman Polanski is a genius ,its also a known fact that his private life is one of great controversy.
This film deals with the criminal case involving Polanski and rape of a 13 year old girl.
What emerges from the film is that the case was by no means open and shut and was prescided over by a judge who was bent on fame rather than the inner workings of the case.
It also shows how the US media declared open war on Polanski and that the european media was more sympathetic towards Polanskis plight.
In the end through the use of stock footage and current interviews it is the viewer who is left to decide Polanskis guilt and indoing so the film would show how trials of celebs would become a media circus where somtimes true justice can be lost.
