Review of Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired (2008) by Benton M — 29 Sep 2009
Imagine a life where you're parents are killed in concentration camps but somehow you escape. You tell your story and have a movie star face, that ends up making you huge around the world. You become someone everyone wants to hang out with, including The Beatles.
You marry an amazing woman, but that that woman ends up getting killed by a group following Charles Manson's orders from the Beatles song Helter Skelter. You try to get your life back in order but then get accused of having sex with a minor.
You somehow avoid jail time for years and escape to another country. That is this movie, a documentary of this life. I didn't know anything about Roman before watching and grew very interested in who he was and became.
For a documentary, this is well put together and tells an amazing tale.
