Review of Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired (2008) by Michael G — 23 Nov 2009
Before you formulate an opinion on the controversy surrounding Roman Polanski, see this movie. It doesnâ??t excuse what he did to Samantha Geimer, in fact it doesnâ??t necessarily comment on it at all.
Instead what it does is examine the way Polanski was treated during the trial and why he fled the United States. If youâ??re a fan of Polanskiâ??s films, or if you have an opinion on the controversy, see this.
Personally I think what Polanski did was inexcusable and he deserved to be punished, but at the same time a defendant should be treated as such and not as a publicity light-fixture for a attention-whoring judge.
