Review of Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired (2008) by Jay N — 04 Sep 2009
Polanski is the shizzle, he rapes a 13 year old, escapes to France and proceeds to win an Oscar. How could a documentary fail with those events. Yet this one manages to so effortlessly. A pretty medicore documentary that really didn't tell me anything new about Roman.
In fact I could read have the material off wikipedia. It was hard to determine what the point of the documentary was for. In fact this seemed to be more about the judge then Roman. I would have loved to known about Roman's past and his films, instead it focused on a halfass court case filled with holes.
Despite having so many holes the films didn't explore that either.
