Roman J. Israel, Esq. boasts a great deal of creativity at several levels, it investigates the moral standards of society by showcasing how a human being can be susceptible to wrongdoings at any time, this ethical exhibition is led by none other than Denzel Washington who beautifully produces an elegant performance that's very enjoyable and quite powerful, his strong charisma dominates the film and it gives it the needed grip to make this film hold up, at certain parts of the film Denzel carries this story with his performance and that's due to confusition that the plot turns to which makes it sloppy and messy but ultimately Denzel brings it to safety.
What stands out as well is the camera work and shoot location, the way it was put together gives a fresh look to L.A, away from the cliched categorization of the town, the visuals are beautifully presented and it certainly helps towards delivering the story.
One more thing that this film does right is the music, we're exposed to it through Roman's playlist of songs that reflects his character and beliefs, this selection is immensely fun and satisfying.
Having said all that, Roman J. Israel, Esq. is a very well made film with a great cast which certainly worth a watch.
