Review of Roman Holiday (1953) by Janet F — 23 Jul 2010
A sweet, wonderful movie that introduced Audrey Hepburn to the world. I'm still waiting to see Gregory Peck in a bad movie or role. Hasn't happened yet and my appreciation of his acting grows continuously.
Eddie Albert was a hoot as the comic relief. Pure, innocent, escapist fun...just like Princess Anna's getaway. (I'm still trying to figure out how an established curmudgeon like Dalton Trumbo could write such sweet, light screenplays.
His talent was multi-dimensional.)).
