Review of Roman Holiday (1953) by Richard D — 30 Dec 2012
Not exactly a stunningly original film, but one that benefits immensely from two very likeable leads. Audrey Hepburn is wonderful in her film debut and Gregory Peck is cast in exactly the kind of role he is best suited for, the fellow who grudgingly does the right thing in the end.
The story is a romantic trifle, but there's nothing wrong with that when it's done right.
