Review of Roman Holiday (1953) by Ronald W — 26 Dec 2013
Frankly, I'll be honest with you, I don't really like romance movies because they're usually cliche and repetitive and they usually don't provide the same feeling I have when I'm in love.
This is different, I'm unsure as to why but here's my attempt at explaining. At the start they don't actually fall in love, which spares me from the 'Oh they're good-looking' cliche.
It provides a better understanding for love, as to how it sets you free from the boring routines in life and makes the world around you so much more lively and exciting. It helped get rid of the sour taste I had in my mouth for romance and has given me better perspective for love.
It's accomplished this so well that it's also one of my favourite movies of all time. Ha! Who'd a thought?
