Review of Roman Holiday (1953) by Alan Z — 20 Jan 2015
An outstanding and visionary romantic comedy that might as well look as modern as any today's comedy film. The direction is so masterful and accurate that Peck's and Hepburn's performances seem to fit right in it.
This film is so ahead of its time in structure that its influence will continue until it is topped, which seems to be a challenge too hard to achieve if we take a look at the kind of comedies made today.
