Excellent debut from the beautiful Audrey Hepburn! It's a story that has been done many times, but there is something so authentic here. Audrey Hepburn is completely believable as the Princess who wants to break out.

She carries herself like a royalty but also knows how to reveal the wonder of the child within. She's immensely cultured, yet naive. Gregory Peck fulfilled the role nicely, as you could read emotion clearly in his eyes.

Aside from his ability to appear stoic, he's so tender it actually seems unlikely he would ever have ill intentions to begin with. I particularly applaud the writer for allowing each character to come to their own conclusions without being coerced.

It's amazing how you really can be affected so deeply by one glorious day!
