Review of Roman Holiday (1953) by Jared D — 23 Feb 2010
The original romantic comedy that offers a blissful mix of playfulness, wholesome romance, and genuine performances. Staring Audrey Hepburn in one of her more likable roles as well as Gregory Peck who delivers and light and genuine performance that leaves the audience with a sense of satisfaction. The only improvement I could suggest for the movie is for their to be a less serious tone at the ending. It leaves one with a sense of dissonance at what should be a release.
All in all a worthwhile watch for anyone even remotely interested in romantic classics.
