Review of Roman Holiday (1953) by Kristy L — 15 Jan 2012
If I had to list all the reasons why this movie received all five stars we'd be here all day. This movie cements Hepburn as the quintessential Hollywood timeless beauty. Peck was hilarious and fit the love interest perfectly.
Audrey Hepburn reminded me exactly why she is and always will be the bell of the ball. She was beautiful, cute, funny, and an amazing actress. She defines elegance and is the perfect example of a lady.
And yes I have a huge crush on her even tho she's dead... a little weird I know but if you see this film you would understand. I wish women in hollywood could even come a quarter of the way in her direction of class.
The best part of this movie was not her, surprisingly, it was the ending. I loved it, it was perfect, and it made the movie complete. Roman Holiday is in my top ten movies of all time. The perfect date movie for sure.
