Review of Roman Holiday (1953) by Lucas S — 13 Aug 2010
Hollywood at it's best, before romantic comedies became cliched plastic unwatchable movies (with few exceptions) they were bright, funny, sweet and original. And in the 50's there were stars whose name is remembered till nowadays, two of those stars in this wonderful rom-com, Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck at their best. But of course, the movie wouldn't be great if ity was only about acting, Willian Wyler's direction and the script.
Overall, the only way to understand the movie's charm is by watching it.
Final Rating: 9.8.
