The main character is given zero emotional range or depth. She shows up, she works, she loves and she cries when bad things happen. I'm not sure if her character being that flat is evidence of a poorly written character, or if this is supposed to be a commentary on how shut off these people have to be all the time.
Either way, it wasn't enjoyable to watch, despite all the stylistic flair.
