A pointless remake with nothing in common with the original, this film's catch was supposed to be sex and violence justified by a flimsy, illogical plot. That is, until the studio forced a PG-13 rating, and someone decided that split-second MTV cuts are so c00l.
Now it's not even the low-brow sleazefest it could have once been, it's just something that makes your brain hurt.
