Review of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) by Reviews F — 04 Jun 2018
Rogue One is a Star Wars prequal which I was excited about. It was also the reason why I didn't plan to see Solo. The film drags on for the whole 130 minute runtime, and it is not too fun. The film makes many plot holes, one being that it kills off a character from a later film.
I think that the characters were bland, and I was more emotionally attached to the robot than the main girl character. That says a lot about the character development. The visuals that brought the space battles to life were great, and so were the visuals for the robot.
James Earl Jones says something towards the end that was probably, "Prepare boarding party.", but sounded like, "Prepare booty booty." Overall, this film was not the best Star Wars movie.
It wasn't the best, but definitely not the worst. I give the film a 40% for great visuals, bland characters, and pretty okay acting.
