Review of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) by Eric S — 06 Feb 2017
Its honestly a pointless great movie. Its a tragedy in genre wise. One of the few modern tragedies they went with a very Shakespeare vibe not just with using mostly British actors but with the style in general.
Its not like the other Star Wars movies. Its not nowhere the best either. We basically know how it ends but its still enjoyable. Unlike the Prequels which had many "Ohh thats how that happened" moments its more so where we already know.
Basically the spoiler is literally everyone dies. Literally everyone. So there is no potential franchise with these characters so do not get attached. You watch it, its intended purpose was a suicide mission for the plans to the Death Star and the movie literally ends at the start of Episode 4.
For Star Wars fans this is a great addition to things to watch but not necessary and for those who are not Star Wars fans watching this will leave you confused. This movies purpose was to attract younger views to watch the IV-VI same as episode VII.
The Han Solo movie may be interesting its possible but I honestly dont think his story is necessary.
