Review of Rogue (2007) by Anders J — 28 Oct 2008
Did the Australians do this? I love the Aussies but they could have done better with their latest monster macabre, Rogue. It starts off well but then plummets into a hole comprised of absolutely no character development and a slow-paced and unnecessary plot. That being said, you can see how this is strictly a B movie and nothing else.
The crocodile demonstrated some impressive visual effects and the chomping scenes were terrific, though unbelievable (can a Croc really come out onto the shore and drag a man into the water without the crowd in front of him noticing, apparently so!) The climactic battle between one survivor and the thirty-something foot croc (Crikey!) was well played but ridiculously unrealistic.
I'd recommend this film to anyone looking for a decent monster movie with little to think about. Check it out if you fit the description!
