Review of Rogue (2007) by Paul T — 02 Apr 2009
I went into this film with no great expectations - after it received a particularly bum rap from the media on its release - and was very pleasantly surprised. Rogue is a solid thriller which is big on suspense, and unlike a lot of creature features, actually delivers a killer punch when we get to see the beast of the title for the first time.
A strong cast equip themselves well, bringing a bit of depth and even some humour to a standard collection of potential rogue fodder characters, with Sam Worthington's likeable larrikin a standout.
The film is also an incredible cinematic journey through the beautiful top end of Australia.
